Throughout this tour we will be traveling in the Puna region trought valleys in the heart of the Cordillera de los Andes. All along the mountain range, we shall discover beautiful lagoons and volcanoes in the horizon all the time. Under a blue sky, we shall go deeper and deeper into the ravines that head us towards the Puna. Dusty roads will head us to lost villages and pre Hispanic ruins, in the land of the Incas or “Sons of the sun”. We will cross the cordillera de los Andes to visit the quiet town of San Pedro de Atacama.

Itinerary

◉ Day 1: Buenos Aires
Arrive to Buenos Aires. Reception at the international airport and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon city walk at the centre of Buenos Aires. Welcome dinner and lodging in Buenos Aires.

◉ Day 2: Buenos Aires – Salta KM 150
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport. Morning flight to Salta. We will pick up the motorcycles and ride to Cuesta del Obisto road during the afternoon. Lodging in Salta.

◉ Day 3 Salta – Humahuaca Km 250
Breakfast. Departure in the morning. During the morning we will ride a spectacular mountain road in the forest in the way to San Salvador de Jujuy. Them we will get into the Quebrada de Humahuaca with his colorful hills and historical towns. All this area was declared Cultural World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. Lodging in Humahuaca.

◉ Day 4: Humahuaca – Purmamarca Km. 220
Breakfast. Departure in the morning. Visit to the town of Iruya riding spectacular mountains roads. In the afternoon we will visit Tilcara and arqueological ruins. Arrive to Purmamarca in the afternoon. Lodging in Purmamarca.

◉ Day 5: Purmamarca – San Pedro de Atacama Km 420
Breakfast. Departure in the morning. Leaving Purmamarca by an asphalt road, we will go up to the Puna over 3000mts. Visit to a salt field. Border cross to chile. We will be crossing the Andes riding at almost 5000mts. Over sea level. Arrive to San Pedro in the afternoon.

◉ Day 6: San Pedro de Atacama KM 300
Breakfast. Ride to the Tatio`s geisers. In the afternoon visit to the valley of the moon. Lodging in San Pedro de Atacama.

◉ Day 7: San Pedro de Atacama – San Antonio de los Cobres KM 400
Breakfast. Departure in the morning. We will cross again the Andes to come back to Argentina. By mountain gravel roads we will arrive to San Antonio de los Cobres. We will see the viaduct La Polvorilla, used by the train to the clouds. Lodging in San Antonio de los Cobres.

◉ Day 8: San Antonio de los Cobres – Molinos Km. 230
Breakfast. Departure in the morning. We will ride across the Abra del Acay going up untill 4950 mts. In the afternoon we will arrive to the old town of Molinos. Lodging in Molinos.

◉ Day 9: Molinos - Cafayate Km 120 asphalt
Breakfast. Departure in the morning. We will go down from the Puna riding a road with spectacular landscapes. Arrive to Cafayate by midday. In the afternoon we will visit an arqueological site. Lodging in Cafayate.

◉ Day 10: Cafayate
Breakfast. Free day at Cafayate. Lodging in Cafayate.

◉ Day 11: Cafayate - Salta Km. 180 asphalt
Breakfast. Departure in the morning. In the way to Salta, we will visit a lot of natural formation created by the erosion of the wind and water. Arrive to Salta by midday. In the afternoon, we will return the motorcycles. Farewell dinner and lodging in Salta.

◉ Day 12: Buenos Aires
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport. Morning flight to Buenos Aires. Transfer to the international airport. End of our services.

Details of motorcycle rental

- All riders must have license for ride high cylinder motorcycles
- Royal Enfield Himalayan motorcycle rental: Riders have to make a refundable security deposit of U$S 1.000.- by credit card (Visa-American Express-MasterCard) for eventual damage of the motorcycle. 

Reservation

To reserve your place in the tour, you have to make a deposit of U$S 1.000.- Six month in advance you have to complete de 50% of the total price. The rest of the payment will be 30 days before the start date.
